Hi everyone! Mark (GR00V3R) Sheppard here with a post announcing the new board game I'm working on, CAMPAIGN++. I'm looking to see what kind of interest exists in a map-based campaign system for...
I'm trying to draw my local gaming group back into the Epic fold, and it seems a great way to achieve that would be via a narrative campaign.
I'm thinking a great little campaign around Legio...
Sorry to necro this thread, but for anyone who followed our (failed) crowdsourcing campaign on Indiegogo, I'm very happy to say we did eventually make the game and recently launched on Steam Early...
Indeed. TacComs is the community of players that helped develop Epic:Armageddon with Jervis back in the day, and when GW brought it down to a Tier 2 game that same community continued to develop the...
Don't know if you guys are aware, but there's still good community support for Epic and a variety of other *cough*Exodus Wars*cough* 6mm games over at the Tactical Command forums. :)
So the Exodus Wars 6mm "open beta" rules have been in extensive playtesting over the past few months, especially in the run-up to the computer game version being released on Steam. I think they're...
For me, it's Final Liberation from 1992, I think. Best turn-based 40K game ever made, in my opinion. :)
Pretty much the whole reason I made Exodus Wars: Fractured Empire is that I wanted to play...
Exodus Wars: Fractured Empire will soon launch on Steam!
Exodus Wars: Fractured Empire is a computer game (Windows, MAC and Linux) aimed at capturing the essence of miniatures wargaming, with core...
Thought all the 6mm sci-fi wargaming fans here on BoLS might like to know the first update of the Exodus Wars: Fractured Empire ALPHA for the new year has just been released on FracturedEmpire.net....
Thanks, Larry! :)

Thanks for letting us post this, BoLS! Very much appreciated! :)
If you're a fan of Epic:Armageddon or Final Liberation, I reckon you'll be very keen to know about the Exodus Wars: Fractured Empire game currently in development for PC and Mac:
Exodus Wars:...
See this thread for what may be the Final Liberation replacement you've been waiting for... :D
What a great little battle report. Bravo, sir. :D
This might interest you lot. I was chatting last night about a game similar to Final Liberation that's in development now.
It's similar in that it focuses on tabletop-style epic battles in a...
Having read through everyone's thoughts (pro and con), I am more excited about 6th Ed than I have been about 40K for a long, long time. Talk of Overwatch, Covering Fire, ability to assault of a...
No worries. Thanks for the update, anyway. :)
If you do see any info about it, though, let me know—I'm not currently finding the time to lurk TacComs like I use to, so I'll likely miss big...
What's the status of Total War? I'm really looking forward to that supplement.
I like where you're heading with this. Nice one.
To my mind, the most important aspect of a campaign is the story, even if you're going for a map-based campaign—the story is what drives the player...
Fair enough. To my mind, Epic:Armageddon is a superior ruleset and a quicker game, but I understand the appeal of 2nd Ed. :)
By the way, for those of you in this thread who are not all that familiar with the 4th Ed of Epic, you might find the info and links here useful in getting up to speed:

There are now a quite reasonable number of Sydney players. I'm one of them. :)
I recommend you check out the Sydney Epic Gaming Group website and download a copy of the Epic Compendium--that's...
I had noticed that, yeah.
(How tragic is it for me that I only discovered Epic after I had left Melbourne for Sydney.) :)
AWESOME! Between your Canberra event and Heavy Bolter 2009 in Melbourne, we're enjoying an avalanch of Epic here down under! :D
Rego closes in a week. If you haven't registered yet, now would be the time to jump on the bandwagon.
Besides...you'll get to play against me and my mighty Ultramarines! Bragging rights are to be...
