ICs can be deployed with a group, but not as part of the unit. Once they are on the board they become one.

You can put ICs in transports though. So DarkLink is right.

I don't see anything preventing Psykers from casting all of the different types of powers in melee.

Tyrants can only join Tyrant Guard.

Tyranid Primes (not an MC) can join units, plus it's the only IC Tyranids have.

It's effectively a wound pool for a certain number of D hits.

So you could have a melta shot, a lascannon shot, a few bolter shots & and some D weapon hits that...

You would have to resolve the D weapon wound rolls one at a time, against the first guy in the row completely before moving on to the next one.

That's the only way your theory makes sense to me,...
