I second your wish of book about Wars of Unification. It could be somethink like HH:CC but with better art and with detailed maps and description of armament etc.
I would remove SoB, Salamanders, Tau, Death Cult Assassins [btw why they are always female dressed like S&M domina?].

On cover of HH:Shadows of Treachery both IF and IW have Mk.III and they look awesome.I personally find that particular mark of power armour best fitting for them.

I bought first CC omnibus and only one I liked there was first short story. The rest felt repetitive and because of that very boring. It felt as I would be reading same book instead 3 separate...
