It's from the Space Marine Thunder Hammers Finecast kit. I used the same kit when it was in pewter to convert a vanguard squad.

Those Helbrute rules are a neat idea but...
Shouldn't it be a 2+ save if you're making it an MC?
Terminators wear tactical -dreadnought- armour, after all.
Anyway, the new model is...really...
I like the look and all...and I like that Chaos can use these to access drop pods...
But I hate...hate the whole silly idea of these things taking off again and/or flying around the battlefield...
Aside from retailers being unable to sell GW parts, when you consider that online retailers are able to offer discounts from 20-30% off MRSP and still make a profit, and that if they bought the...
Eh, I noticed that, but it's still called a 'complete chapter'. So it's only kind of correct...and that's the sort of tiny detail that bugs me. :(
Also it's strange that the deployment includes...
Exactly. And unlisted in the Ultramarines Force Org in either codex are the Land Raiders of the first company (it has LR variants assigned to it which are not part of the chapter's motor pool) as...
But this thing would be the one click you'd need to cover the basics for any chapter.
It covers all the infantry (unless you prefer a different ratio of 1st-company veterans in terminator/power...
This is just...awesome.
I don't know why, but it makes me happy that this exists.
Maybe it's just seeing the chapter laid out like this in models? Something about it is just cool.
I am a...
It's a good sculpt, just underwhelming considering we've had pretty much the same thing before and it comes with a pretty 'meh' weapon load-out.
Agreed on all points.
Ugh. I wish I weren't so broke...and that I had a gaming club/store nearby.
I have plans for those Centurions...plans to make Obliterators for my Thousand Sons that don't...
Aerodynamics don't matter if you have enough thrust.
And the Imperium's solution to everything is 'more power'. That's what I love about the IoM.
Of course they do!
It's a scientific fact!*

Ladies and gentlemen, this man can see into your soul and unearth what it is you most desire.
Missing several, actually:
Multi-melta
Twin-linked Heavy Flamer
Twin-linked Autocannon (either side)
Plasma Cannon
Twin-linked Heavy Bolter
It would be pretty awesome for a revamped...
I'll be surprised if it turns out much different from the Eldar or...really any of the 6th ed books so far.
But like the Eldar, SM already have a huge range, and they even have access to...
I want a Wolfraven that fires Wolfstrike Missiles. D:
This. The rules are an abstraction to make the game actually fun to play.
I know people like to rag on GW about game balance, but they do understand that much.
If the rules were accurate...
It's not the volume of the sound effects I find grating, but rather that they don't seem synched with the movements of the suit very well, but that's me nit-picking. :3
You absolutely can still do that.
Warriors and Immortals are 13 and 17 points apiece, respectively, and you can back them up with res. orbs or Ghost Arks (for the warriors) to enhance their...
Now -there- is a good marine cosplay.
The sound effects are a bit much, I think, but that is one damn fine-looking suit of power armour. And the articulating power fist is pretty impressive.
I don't really have a dog in this fight, but from a purely gameplay perspective, that's a -lot- of points (1 HQ + 1 Troop) to invest in a single Vindicator. And in my experience lone Vindicators...
Keep in mind that some of the dual-kits lately have gone a long way to making either of the possible builds in them quite distinct.
The first thing that comes to mind are Necron...
Really I find black pretty easy to do...
Just do two drybrush layers over a black primer/basecoat and then edge highlights with the lightest of those. Add a nice wash to darken everything back down...
I'll side with you on that.
I can understand the direction they were going for with the model, but personally I had been hoping that he would be more beautiful somehow
He certainly seemed...
Those strands of parchment look scary frail for structures made of FW resin...
Model looks good though. Interested to see a picture of the whole thing.
