Oh, I'm not making anything up. GW lost, and lost big.
GW's opening position was that everything that they had ever labeled, thought of, or otherwise used was completely protected as IP, with no...
First they came for the Squats, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Squat.
Then they came for the Dogs of War, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Dog of War.
Then they came for...
Sure, but realistically, they all should have seen it coming. It's just amusing that they're reacting so badly to the very behaviors that they themselves enabled, for a situation that they...
Yup, it's pretty funny how mad some people are getting.
If you're going to cry like a baby, how can you type at all?
Regardless, you're getting Squatted, like it or not. So best you eat a lot of fatty food, because GW doesn't use lube.
I'm reading the "breaking news" for WFB 9E (http://www.belloflostsouls.net/2015/01/breaking-wfb-9th-explodes.html), and I gotta say, I like it.
Warhammer Fantasy is going Full Grimdark (tm) in the...
I think there's a good chance I've got $400 worth of incomplete stuff sitting in the Closet of Shame, so I'm not adding to the pile.
But if I were to win a $400 GW gift certificate with a "use it...
And now, 7 months later, Zombicide Season 3: Rue Morgue is shipping and arriving in backer hands 2 months early compared to the Feb. 2015 estimate!
Pretty nice to see a KS succeed.
Exactly. 3rd was very playable, because it was deliberately designed toward simpler, smoother play. If 8E turned back the clock on rules complexity but kept the artwork, fluff and production...
I started in 2nd, and really played a lot of 3E / 4E.
I hate the fiddliness of 6E / 7E - it slows the game down so much, in such unrealistic (implausible) ways. I have not bought any of the 7E...
I would actually like to see the rules streamlined a la 3rd Edition, with the various supplements focused on Fluff and Background, rather than more and more rules
Actually, they'd sell 2 books on average:
Codex: Space Marines (Ultramarines)
plus $50 sub-Codices with 2 pages of rules that still requires C:SM:
Codex: Blood Angels
Codex: Black Templars...
That would only be a good thing. Space Marines are supposed to be largely monolithic, with minor differences that are largely invisible to outsiders. Sub-Codices are the correct approach.
These renders are quite nice, but is unclear what scale figures you are planning on. From parts breakdown, it appears that you are looking at large scale (e.g. 28mm / 30mm) multi-pose models versus...
You could change the way the game is scored, such that Caster Kill is only a Marginal Victory, whereas fulfilling Objectives become a Major Victory. Or, you can give the Killed side a final turn for...
I say no changes. Bring everything else down in power, and get rid of the chrome.
If that doesn't work, bring the points down.
Adding more stuff simply makes the game more of a mess.
You really don't want to answer the question about 25mm hex being included, do you?
Why can't DP9 give me a straight answer?
As I see it, DP9 is going to include undersized 25mm hex bases,...
If styrene plastic is available, I'll gladly go with that. Crisp & precise, non-brittle. Easy to assemble. Multi-pose.
Failing that, monopose metal. Not a fan of pinning anymore. Minor...
OK, fair enough.
Can you at least move the new line entirely to round bases for a consistent look across all scales??
Or are you guys still stuck with the old stuff?
The hex and round mix is...
Thanks for the reply.
Base-wise, I'm surprised DP9 isn't creating their own bases with a front/back arc predefined in some way. Will the new models be supplied with old-fashioned hex-shaped...
I own not a single FailCrap "resin" model.
I do own at least 500 metal models.
I did hunt a metal Crusader rather than take a risk on FailCrap.
Question 1: Can/will quick reference sheet(s) be included as separate/detachable on cardstock? A single page would be ideal. Perhaps as part of a printed "quickstart" pack?
Question 2: Bases! ...
Great! Thank you!
No, it doesn't.
2 red, 2 green, 2 white, 2 black = 4 twin-linked dice.
Thank you very much - I have downloaded them, and at 100+ pages, it's quite the handful. Far more comprehensive than I had expected. I do agree that it is vastly cleaner than the previous version. ...
