that's certainly a good point about the Desolator's speed and i have seen escorts make a big mess.

at this point this list still has some flexibility since i currently only have the models for 2...

in the past, the armies that i've played tended to either be 1. outnumbered or 2. outmanuevered. when i made this list, i tried to minimize those problems. granted, with 5th ed, mechanized lists are...

i made this list with 2 things in mind:
1. overall cost, in terms of real money
2. plastic cruisers allow for some conversions (never really was a fan of metal models)

& yes, the chaos ships...

this is the latest incarnation of a Tyranids list i had been toying around with for some time. it would be nice to get it finished before that new codex comes out!

also, it isn't really necessary, but they ought to remake the zoanthrope model so that it's easier to assemble (really awkward to balance)

on average it's taken about 2+ hours for a mini. color scheme and amount of detail work factor in though.
