Were that the case they shouldn't let you field an entire Command Squad with Grav-guns.. On top of that you run into the issue of what works and what doesn't... For instance, Dreadnoughts pretty much...

Transports are nice for some mobile cover and can help in a pinch when you need to run over IG....but yeah they are virtually useless. Personally, when I field anything for transport it's nothing...
