You're very wrong in 1 important part:

The 'not transferring of special rules to units' only applies when a character joins another unit! (Per the rule quotes above).

Have been playing another 6 games with the list and the main problem i keep encountering are opponent Landraiders. Lost 2/3 games when facing one, purely because i didnt roll those 6es for rending....

1. Codex Chaos Marines (3rd I think; with the legions in it)
2. Codex Craftworld Eldar (althouh, probably the most broken one combined with the LoS rules, cheap starcannons and 6" free jump in...

With toxin sacs: always wound on a 4+, unless you would already do so (or even bether); then you still wound on 4+, but with re-rolls.

Example:
Normal: S3 vs T5 = 6+
Sacs: S3 vs T5 = 4+
