Well you have to have a unit of Gnoblars in order to use the scraplauncher, and scraplaunchers are money.

princes work great with him or hordes of little guys, and blood crushers like the Fatecrusher stuff that was going around for a while

I would suggest princes. I like fiends as well. I was also under the impression that more blood-crushers would be favorable in this sort of lists, like 8 or something.

I might try this out for "friendly" games. Basically the Fateweaver hangs back behind the wall of Daemon Princes whilst they grind threw the opponents army, Fiends and Bloodthirster go after tanks...

Do twenty Daemonic troops work for you? I mean if they do that looks good then, I run a unit of fifteen daemonettes, to survive the shooting phase, ten seekers should make it into combat as well.
