Both of those are wrong. It never states that you use your unmodified stat for stat tests. Also, the grenades say "... are reduced to Initiative 1 for the remainder of the phase." You will test at I 1

I believe that all units in IA:Apocalypse are for Apocalypse only where there is no force org chart.

I think they need to make tank shock an initiative test or take a wound kinda thing. It would be much more realistic but unfortunately not very balanced.

I would have to recommend BattleFoam as well. Their custom cut tray designer is awesome, and it has the outlines for almost every model possible, even DE vehicles.

You can play 40k on your own but the problem is that you always know your opponents next move.

i read these kind of threads and every time i wonder where people come up with their tier systems. we recently had a tournament in our area and here is the top 8 in order:

tyranids
chaos space...

roll a d6 for each model. on a 4+ they take a wound.

i agree with Darklink. i would fill out both of the purifiers to 10 men and then combat squad them as needed.

as for list 2 i don't like fielding only 5 terminators because they will get shot...

at leadership 9 there is a 16% chance of failure. at 10 there is only a 8% chance to fail.
and a force weapon isn't a psychic power but it does require a psychic test.

that sounds a little ridiculous. especially since it is free for some models (according to the scan-dex). i could see it as the stats for the gatling psilencer for the dreadknight.
