After a week most of the FB Lexicanum is now clean of AoS content. All that's left is a bunch of minor tasks and cleanup that needs to be done but it's not that important. I'm gonna go ahead and move...
We cannot get any of the attributes to trigger, as mentioned in https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:EmbedVideo#Attributes_for_parser_tags, which we really need to make the video presentable.

Great! I've tested the video feature, but I'm still learning the ropes and can't get it exactly how I wanted it.
After the split we need to deal with the few bugs the Lexis have.
Thanks, I've already warned our editors through our proto-forums.
Thanks for you answer. Hopefully the update and bugfixes will be good then.
Can we assume that this will be done before next year?
I'm also going to improvise an "in-wiki forum"-like talk page. I've been delaying a bunch of discussions that need to happen because of the...
How are the updates progressing? Any timeline for when they will happen?
Now that summer is over, are there any news on the updates that were scheduled for the past season?
I have the following questions:
1. Is there a reason why the AoS Lexi can't be called whaos.lexicanum.com? It would be more consistent with the other wikis.
2. Does the initial content have to...
I'm not aware of any individual like that on the English Fantasy side of the Lexicanum and had no issues like that with any of my users.
I don't think I have anything else to add to this topic.
Putting the minimum at 10 words might be for the best really. I hope that it doesn't hurt newcomers when the split happens.
Yeah same experience here. The Spam Filters does not like the Lexicanum mail.
If you're going to make the other information section obligatory, you should atleast change what its request of the user. Currently it has:
"The following information is kept private and will only...
The first hurdle is always the most off-putting and if people are already in they are usually more willing to learn.
Either way we are kinda arguing in circles. Big Red heard both sides of the...
As I've mentioned before 40k Lexi and the Fantasy Lexi have different amounts of active users. The Fantasy side is much more desperate in need of editors than the 40k side.
I'm just going to point out that while the 40k doesn't really need new editors, the fantasy side really does need it.
Sorry.
I honestly doubt it, but i'm not that aware on boting works.
Figures.
From what I understand it only requires Username, Password, Email and Birth Date.
A bot can't figure out these kinds of answers by itself. The one how made the program will have to modify the bot itself for it to work. Most people often do not bother with this, and if they figure...
It's not as much of a issue for the 40k side which doesn't need as much people, while the fantasy is kinda desperate for more editors. The list wouldn't have to be large, just one for each lexi with...
I feel like that would just bring too many steps. It would be easier to add a setting relevant question when first trying to edit, which usually keeps them out for a while.
One of our users, Morbus Iff, has found me a solution to the problems with transferring images from one lexi to the other as well as help with some mass edits that need to be done. That should be...
I can't be of any help here since I only have experience with the edit side of things. However if you want I can make a post in the Lexicanum discord about it.
Thanks. I will eagerly await that time. Meanwhile I will give the tools I was shown a closer look.
I think it would be preferable to have an empty AoS lexicanum to export-import than a clone of the current fantasy Lexicanum.
There are a lot of problems on both sides that makes it preferable to...
This is a excellent thing to do, as I've often felt that mobile is a bit slower to load than it should. The only one that leaves me slightly concerned is the last one, because it might lead to...
