It seems nowadays GW doesn´t give a faq about FAQs.
So to answer the OP´s question: maybe this decade.
And fun is different for everyone.
To some people fun means thrashing the opponants army as fast and good they can, no matter the cost.
To some people fun means playing scenarios with given...
And every games needs a winner by default. ;)

1. There can´t be enough different bitz companies out there. And we don´t know about C&D letters any company might have received or not. A trial is a very costy thing to do and CHS...
I want GW to lose because of two reasons:
1) So companies can produce bitz to use with GW miniatures. The more the merrier. :)
2) Some of GW claims are silly and they need someone to tell them.
Well I hope for the hobby that GW loses about all their original claims.

You´re making a good point, but compare it to the entry costs of Malifaux (30 pounds), Warmachine/Hordes (35 pounds), Infinity (30 pounds), Kings of War (30 pounds) or Warpath (30 pounds).
