DE. Or, if the Chaos Legions codex comes out soon enough, maybe some Thousand Sons... pretty much the only marines I'd be willing to play.
I've seen LEDs work well in a very specific case - involving clear plastic molded around them as a part of the model. Other than those, I haven't seen them used much at all, and I'm not surprised -...
Holy @#$@#, those are some incredibly well-done minis. I hate yellow minis in general, but yours almost make me want to paint some myself...
I would definitely suggest putting a modeled enemy at his feet. He looks cool, but without a target for finger and sword he also looks incomplete. It doesn't have to be a complicated one.
Nice, and interesting. I probably would've gone for a white undercoat, myself - to make it less dark and more red - but it's a good scheme.
The look with blue and purple fading into each other looks better on the vehicle than the infantry... still, very interesting.
Absolutely disgusting - I highly approve :)
To a point, I used to agree with kaiserdean. That is to say, I thought that people who brought a special character to every game they played seemed to be cheapening that character - why, after all,...
I've heard suggestions that mandrakes could be used in the rear, instead of truly infiltrating them, giving them a pain token, and having them hold an important area (though of course they can't hold...
Technically true. However, the number of people who fully understand the statistics involved is pretty limited, and most of the calculations you see done on these boards ARE in terms of averages. ...
As a couple of people have said, army-changing rules are useful. I've seen a few things saying essentially that GW doesn't really expect that every time a special character is played, it's actually...
Pretty much any time I use my Lord of Change is a low point. Don't get me wrong; he tends to soak up a large amount of fire, and occasionally even kills something. But I tend to put him on the...
I'd love to see this. Maybe even have a way to use my horrors with some new Thousand Sons... they would be my first marines, if I got to use some of my daemons with them in a way that made sense.
I'll also toss in a general cheer for P3. I do like GW's "washes," which are arguably not real washes but are still nice, but other than those I haven't bought a GW paint product since finding P3.
Some armies do it better than others, really. A particularly slow army or one that has absolutely no influence on the deployment rolls is generally a poor choice for reserving everything. And yes,...
One of your opponent's main problems is that he's blowing a lot of points on Vect in what looks like a fairly small point value army.
For the price of Vect, he could be getting two squads of wracks...
Khorne -> Slaanesh may not be a bad idea in general, but don't count on it helping against raiders; they can outpace any daemon, even a Slaanesh one. (Except screamers, I suppose, but that doesn't...
Oh, that's not NEARLY accurate enough. I've seen far, far more intricate systems. Did you solidly hit that person's hand, or did you graze a finger? In fact, to be more accurate, you probably need...
Yes, I remember it being that way too.
Mathematically, the two are almost identical. (They would be completely identical except that wound allocation in 5th is slightly wonky and perhaps more...
Fluff-wise, it's not a shooting attack. It's not even a throwing attack like that goofy SW hammer. It's an attack against any unit that's unfortunate enough to come into contact with a part of the...
Segmented plates by themselves don't necessarily look non-DE; the incubi have somewhat similar-looking armor. That said, it couldn't hurt to play around with it a little and remove some Carnifexity...
"Following the path" is the answer that would actually make sense. Therefore, I expect "straight line" to be the eventual FAQ answer.
Huh. How'd you manage to get 5 jetbikes in a single template? Methinks your opponent was being careless. That said, I do love the shattershard idea, even if I haven't used one yet.
RAI-wise, I'll agree with you; it sounds like an oversight, though honestly I can't think of a good way to word it that truly gets around the problem. As worded, by RAW it also won't work against...
