Just because Fantasy has more rules doesn't make it more tactical. Setting up your army in a line of blocks and then moving toward the relative center of the board is not tactical.

I called this at the start.
Hm. Good job GW. They're finally beginning to grasp the concept of discounts.
That's all well and fine. The Forge World authors can write whatever the want at the beginnings of their books. Fact is, many GW run events (like Grand Tournaments and similar) don't allow Forge...
Erm, you know that starcannons only have two shots, right? :p
Just wanting to echo some of the above post. Eviscerators are brutally effective weapons that are far and away superior to normal power weapons. Don't waste points on power weapons for your squads of...
Scatter laser or starcannon is your best bet. Both fire multiple shots at a good Strength. The main difference is that one is meant to shred hordes and the other is designed for anti heavy infantry...
Yeah man, Bjorn's too old for Drop Pod assaults. It's already hard enough to wake the bugger up.
But really, Ragnar by himself is probably good enough. Ulrik is an interesting character with a lot...
Sounds good to me. The current ruleset is actually a step in the right direction - it just needs some fine tuning.
Personally I'd be more worried about getting shot or blown up, but that's just me.
This. And I bet GW thinks of them that way too and that the only reason they don't just come out and say it is so that people can't completely freak out if something in an FAQ upsets them.
This is one of the times that a Blood Angel player wants to include a few lascannons in their army. Personally I've always found lascannons to be the best way to deal with Obliterators, though...
So mean, yet so funny.
I love to play against horde armies, especially the ones that want to rush into close combat and kick your head in. It's a ton of fun to have a tidal wave of Gaunts or Boyz charging your lines while...
About the same here, maybe a couple months earlier. Started with with Chaos Space Marines - my first five models was a box of Nurgle Plague Marines (the funny looking plastic ones!).
I like the Ultramarines. They're cool. I think that most people hate on the Ultramarines because that's what everyone else does so they do it too without ever really wondering why.
I'm not all that bothered by the loss of Games Day Canada because it really hasn't been any good since about 2003 anyway.
What is annoying is the whole Hall of Heroes thing disappearing.
Greet them with the middle finger salute.
GW took down the Vassal 40K team earlier this year and that's the last straw. Don't let them push you around.
Overall, I like most of the changes that 5th edition introduced to the game. The thing I dislike most though is the introduction of True Line of Sight. It really bugs me that GW decided to move to a...
Make Dark and Blood Angel Tactical Marines the same as Codex: Space Marine ones.
Give Khornate Daemon units frags. I once had a unit of 4 Bloodcrushers beaten by 12 Kroot because the Kroot were in...
Could always field them as allied Inquisitorial Storm Troopers. :p At least then they're affordable!
On a Lone Wolf it's not particularly good, but it's a nice upgrade for Grey Hunter squads. It costs just as much as a power weapon and if I remember correctly the math works out in favor of the Mark...
For Dark Angels, it's all about the Mortis Dreadnought. I mean, sure, Codex Marines can take a Dread with two pairs of autocannons too, but the Mortis can pack two twin-linked lascannons. That's...
Exactly why I have one in most squads. I'd rather have the thing and not need it than need it and not have it. :)
So does Firefox. *thumbs up*
