Default DE Power from Pain and Kill Team

How would you guys play the power from pain rule for the dark eldar in a game of kill team. I recently played it as each kill gives the model that got the kill a pain token. I held down three feel no pain saves and assured my victory soon thereafter. My opponent complained that the rule is broken for the kill team rules.

It's only fair to do it on a model-by-model basis.

One of your DE models kills an enemy model, then the DE model gets a pain token.

Each model is its own unit, so only a single model gets a pain token.

    Really?

Grab the old DE codex, with some of the old models, show him what DE players had to use for TWELVE years, and then lick the salty tears off his cheeks as you bend his kill team over, LOL!
