    Question Making servo-arms and bionics

    Hello Bell of Lost Souls.

I realize this may make my name seem a bit...paradoxical, but I am building an Iron Warriors army and for this, I need a chestload of servo-arms and bionic bits.
However, there are very few of those at GW and even ForgeWorld haven't got any.

If any of you can link me to bitz-sites or tell me how to make those without too insane effort.
Bitz from other sets are very welcome as well, it doesn't have to be an actual GW-model.

Tech-slaves and whatever other mechanical constructs are very welcome too!

Thank you very much for any help you may supply.

The Emperor protects? Aye, but not me!

I recommend necrons, you get loads of parts in one box or can find cheap bits online and they have a decent bionic feel to them. Then some careful cutting will allow you to add extra bits to legs/arms/torsos. Might need a bit of GS to blend.

It's a bit more expensive, but have you thought of the Iron Hands squad available on GW's website?

I did this tutorial years ago, and should say it's fairly easy to scratchbuild bionics.

I should probably do one on scratchbuilding limbs. It's much easier than you'd think...

Forge World sells a set of bits that includes bionic parts:

    Thanks a lot everyone!

I'd use the Iron Hands, but I don't need any more Marine bitz (I really, really don't) and you can't (for some reason) buy them seperately, like the other upgrade kits.
I've already got one set of such bitz spread across the army.

I'm in love with the power clamp conversion, it was something like that I was looking for - something slightly huge and grotesque, y'know, chaosey.

Also, I'm using two servo harnesses, that really makes for a great plasma gunner. He's here (and Nurgle):

I was planning on making my Possessed Marines with a big fat load of bionic weaponry.
Any ideas for a conversion on wings, that are cooler than just using a jump pack from ChapterHouse (because that's what I'll do for Raptors, so that'd be weird). Maybe one of the single jump packs from the BA range, I was thinking.

I'm not a fan of using Necron bits, it looks too smooth and pretty for something produced in the Imperium of Man - and the limbs need quite some cutting to fit, Necrons being very longish, so I just cannot recommend that for anyone, really.

    Please do!

    Thanks again, everyone
