    Than you all

I've been shading her tonight, a rather labourous process but I made good progress.

After getting sick of shading I decided to make up and paint the first of my TRONsairs:

FW Corsair kit modded with plastic taken from the cover of an A4 document holder.

Gotthammer, let me know when the Phantom is finished and you have a handful of great pics. This is something the frontpagers will want to see

That's looking impressive indeed. Nice job, the contrast between the matte black and the glossy black is a nice touch.

    Well... constructive feedback.

It looks kind of lazy.. like "Hey I got an airbrush!"

Thats a pretty spendy model to do up like that.. but if your happy then so be it..

I tend to paint all the peices of a model that size then bolt it together.

Thanks, the gloss/matte contrast worked so well I went back and did some more gloss on the corsair above.

Well you can blame the production team of TRON for the simplicity of the design, and calling it lazy isn't very constructive.

I went with the simpler scheme so the model didn't become overwhelmed by the neon, as it would have been if I did a more intricate pattern over it.

Your right - perhaps a poor choice of words.

I am also working on a Phantom and the enormity of the project and compartmental painting of it has my head spinning.

    Forgive my crass comment.

As I said.. as long as your happy with it, thats all that matters.

    Not a worry

What scheme are you doing on yours? I didn't want to paint her in segments partly due to needing the lines to match up and also due to needing to drill holes and such for pinning, how're yo ugetting around / dealing with that?

I like the female pilot, was it difficult carving the old one up? I don't recognise the head either, really nice job.
Ask not the EldarGal a question, for she will give you three answers, all of which are puns and terrifying to know. Back off man, I'm a feminist. Ia! Ia! Gloppal Snode!
