    That's some sweet sculpting, and the paintjob really shows it. Props to the OP!

    A year in a half to make, that's some serious devotion! It's an amazing sculpt and you should keep this bad boy over the official model!

    Did you just pure greenstuff over a wire armature, and plasticard for the horns and blades?

    For painting, I would keep the swords the same colour as the rest of the claws/horns/bone bits. Dark green may not make the swords pop out as much.

    what did you use for the "skelleton" of the model? or is it all greenstuff inside?

    really nice job you did there, my favourite is the tailending though

    Thanks for the replies guys!

    Here is a pic showing the build-up of structural layers.
    Wire armature, then bulked out with milliput, finally greenstuff details.
    The swords are plasicard with milliput to stiffen it and greenstuff details.

    That Swarmlord is way more cool looking than the GW one.
