    Default New model previews

The new Gator caster and Circle caster are on the privateer press website.

The circle one makes me cry. Talk about a painting and/or sculpting disaster.

Eek dude, you're right. I can't place what's wrong with him, but he just looks...off.

I can't decide if I like the gator lock either. He looks so damned busy; it makes it hard for me to tell if I like it...

Yeesh. Grayle does not look good. I'll hold final judgement until I see the model, but if that's the best picture of him they could muster, the outlook isn't good. He's might be right up there with the original Gorax sculpt for bad minis.

EDIT: Honestly, after looking at him in the 3D rotation, it's not as bad as I feared. He's very chunky, which I'm not fond of, but makes sense, considering he's literally the first Circle warlock to wear any kind of heavy armor. The swords look chewed up, but I'm going to put that down to a poor choice of painting. I'll be happy to paint those grooves in bright green like Circle stonework, or brass like our armor. If I feel like playing up the hobo look the model has as painted, they can be darked and rusted out.

The only really terrible thing about the model is that hood, and frankly, I might just swap his head with one of the spare Druid heads I have, which would probably look way better.

Yeah, I have to agree with you guys a bit. I want to like Maelok (the name kinda reminds me of the dino-transformers...)

But the whole candles on the head and back thing is not only horrible retro-GW, but it didn't work for GW either...

Grayle is...too busy. And the head/hood is horrible:

Actually, the eAlexia is the best of the lot overall.

I think my only issue with Grayle is that he really doesn't look significantly different from a Wolf of Orboros. He looks more like a unit attachment than a warcaster. Otherwise the detail on him looks fine.

Maelok looks interesting but it's not my cup o' tea. I actually like the candles personally but I don't like the whole necro-dile look.

Grayle is a joke, top of the list for Orboros re-sculptures in my opinion.

The gator made my chuckle, reminds me of the crock that eats 'captain hooks' hand... can't take it seriously...tick, tock, tick tock...
