    Mummy was right then, she always said if I continued hanging out with geekds I'd end up spending a lot of time in some Americans dungeon.

    The name of the dungeon supposedly has the same root as the French word for "to forget." Traditionally, Oubliettes had a spike in the center, and if you were very, very lucky, you'd be impaled on it when they threw you in. Otherwise, you'd have to wait until you died of thirst.

    As for "American dungeons" ... all the shackles and what-nots in mine are fur lined.
