Grey Knights

Just starting some Grey Knights. First up Mordrack's Ghost Knights. These Ghosts are WIP, still have to get the basing right. But they are far enough along for feedback.

I like them.

I've thought about what I'd do for a ghost knight unit - I don't play GK, but I might someday, and I like coming up with ideas for paint schemes - and I think it would be something like this.

My opinion, however, is that the eyes/sword should match the colour of the rest of the knight...would make them look more ghostly, I think. As it stands those bits stand out from the rest of the models too much.

wow very nice! i like the green!

the only advice is to make the eyes pop a bit more and shade the base a bit!

but apart from that those are some really cool models!

The bases are not done by far. They've just had a wash so far. And I am still practicing on OSL to get the interaction of two sources to look right. I originally intended to do them all green, but the models just didn't pop as much. I thought picking out eyes and sword would give me some visual interest. One of this batch still hasn't had the highlighting finished as well. Mordrak is underway as well as the other 4 knights for his retinue. I expect to have them completed this week. Next up will be my interceptor squad. If I can stay focused away from necrons...

Redid weapons. Added 5 more knights as options to fill out full unit. Kept color of rest of ghost knight. Converted and started Mordrak. I need to finish bases yet, but im happy with the knights themselves.

Here is the first "Done" Knight! (Although I did the OSL on the base wrong, so need to correct that.)




And here is a close up on Mordrak WIP. Still needs some highlights, scrollwork, touchup, and the base.
