    Default Cronnies and Orkzes

Gotta question for you Bellers! My buddy just picked up the 'cron codex (I LOVE the doom ark), but how does the Abyssal Staff work with the orks? (its a weapon that you roll to wound based on the units LD rather than their T). How does this work with the mob rules for orks?

I believe Orks with unit sizes over 10 count as Ld 10 (as well as Fearless) for these kind of tests. That said, Mob Rule does state that you can choose to change their Ld for the number of models at any time, so you could let them be Ld 7, or lower if they are down to their last few Boys

You would use the total number of orks in the mob as the Ld for purposes of rolling to wound because pg31 in the Ork codex says: "ork mobs may always choose to substitute the number of orks in their mob for the normal leadership value."

The core rule book states you cannot exceed 10 in any stat thus you'll always roll against some number from 7-10 against Ork mobs (7 in the case of 7 or less orks) and 8-10 depending on squad size.
