New Year's Resolutions

Good morning Guys, Girls and less savoury creatures of BoLS (yes, I'm talking about you, DrLove42!)

Well, if the Myan's are to be believed (or at least those folks who have heard about one Myan calander, but not the one that goes until 4052) we have a little under 12 months to live on this wonderous planet we call Terra... I mean Earth! So maybe for once I might actually make a New Year's Resolution and be bothered to stick to it for more than 24 hours.

Now, as you may have guessed in my introductory paragraph, I'm not one for making imaginary promises to myself that I don't intend to keep (nor do I hold much truck with this end of the world malarcky, especially as it is supposed to be the day before my birthday); I don't need to lose those last 3 pounds, don't want to drink less or anything of that ilk anyway. But hobbywise, I do have a list of unfinshed projects that could take me a while to complete. Honestly, I think I might just be able to complete them all by the end of the decade if I didn't buy any more of our favourite plastic crack. So here are just a few of my projects I would like to get finished the next orbit around our local star;

Ok, an easy one to start off with. Just a quick lick of paint on the bits I've added, maybe a touch up or two elsewhere... A great way to ease myself into 2012's hobbytime.

Well I may have missed my original christmas deadline (and the revised New Year's eve one) but I think there is a real chance I might actually, possibly, maybe finish my Space Hulk terminators during the next 12 months. Hey; a guy can dream, can't he?

These guys saw a bit of a reprieve in the lead up to the UK Armies on Parade competition, but are still sitting mostly unpainted and even have a few models waiting to be built! Most unlike me. I really want to finish this army and get that old thread updated more often as well. Any time I take the models that I have done anywhere I get plenty of interest and a good discussion going on what I have left to do, so it would be really great to follow through with that at some point.

So those are my New Year's resolutions ofr 2012. How about you guys? What hobby love do you have planned before the big Apocolypse game leading us into a real apocolypse (if you believe in that kind of thing)?







Oh, I almost forgot repairing my Warlord titan, finishing of my armoured battle group, building my lucius drop pods, painting my dreadnoughts, starting that ork tank list, winning a tournament, maybe a golden deamon.......

Finishing at least one model

1) Assemble and paint all my FW resin Eldar I received for Christmas.
2) Start a beautiful Lahmian Vampire Counts army based on skellingtons and spectres (so ghosts, wraiths, spirit hosts, banshees) primarily.
3) Keep practising my sculpting
4) Finish my Garden of Morr themed modular board
5) Finish planning my Maiden World board and start making the bally thing.

Finish/Start painting the following:

3 Exorcists (ones almost done I swear)
5 Rhinos
3 Immolators
60 Battles sisters (regular girlies and special weapons etc.)
3 Penitent Engines (Maybe...)
20 Seraphim
Celestine (was painted once then a kid, who did not ask to pick her up, dropped her)
2 Hellhammers


Dark Eldar not included because they are actually painted...my excuse, their xenos I can live with table top standard.

Fully mechanize my DE
Finalize my color scheme for said DE

Start and finish my >3000pts of unbuilt Necrons (not so do-able)

Actually get to play a game. Seriosuly. 20,000pt+ and only 3 games ever played.
Start a small Empire force. Already have 3 generals. Well 2 and one in the making.
