Default Eldar Corsairs Help

So I am considering starting a corsairs army but I don't want to go out and pay 75$ +shipping for IA 11 I was wondering if anyone had any clue what the army list was like. I am also trying to figure out what I need to get or if I might as well just use C:Eldar.

What I have heard sounds promising but it is frustrating to have no access what so ever to any hard information which I could play with.

DrLove42's review of IA11 has a fairly comprehensive list of what is in there, and gives you a pretty good idea of what the army list is like. To quote the good Doctor (and give you the link);

"I experienced a wonderful moment a few minutes ago. I opened the rules section and read some bits. The I read the Corsair army list. I grinned, and then threw my head back an cackled in a evil maniacal laugh

Yeah. They're that good"

Later on in the same thread gotthammer posted a good review of his own.

In the next few days (hopefully) im going to post a more in depth review and summary of the corsairs, now the FW faq has changed things a little bit. and had more than a few people asking for a review.

Thanks for the help. I feel both reviews covered a lot of the theme and rules. I am rather pumped for a corsair army but now I guess I need to try and find someone around my area who has the book to get some play testing in.... I am only planning on 1k to 1250 as a small hobby project so its somewhat tedious and disapointing knowing that the rule book is going to be around 1/3 of the army cost

I know its expensive but I really recommend buying the book when you can, it is really worth it and the more they sell the more likely they are to do more Eldar/Xenos stuff in future books.
Ask not the EldarGal a question, for she will give you three answers, all of which are puns and terrifying to know. Back off man, I'm a feminist. Ia! Ia! Gloppal Snode!
