Does anyone with their ears close the ground regarding Fanasy Flight know when this is going to be released?

Do Fantasy Flight often go quiet for ages on a project?

Q1 2012 is all they had for a release date. With their recent track record for most games they hype, expect it around July/Sept window.

Yeah, they had one of the Rogue Trader books 'coming soon' for about three months after a couple of months of 'not yet available', so it'll be realeased when it's released...

Gosh, I can't wait for this. I'm getting a new case for my Imperial Guard, and I'm ordering foam for future X-wing minis at the same time! Seriously, this better be out by April 13 (my birthday).

I know the Star Wars LCG got pushed back indefinitley but nothing was said about X-Wing. I'm eagerly awaiting as well. I know WOTC released Angels 20 in February so maybe FFG was waiting until after that release since they are similiar genres of games.

Fantasy Flight does tend to do a Blizzard-esque pushback on all their release dates. Though thankfully the product is usually worth the wait!

One good sign is that X-wing will be represented at Fantasy Flight's World Championship weekend on November 9-11. This, along with an expected release of Q2 2012 tells us that it should be out by late spring/early summer.
