Really Random Army ideas

Has anyone else ever considered modeling an army based on Tolkien's other work, such as:
a)Farmer Giles of Ham's Knightly Order? (Rohan?)
b)Father Christmas' Red Elf army (with the North Polar Bear)? (Rohan or Elves, or something else, depending on how you imagine them).
c)Roverandom?(all heroes army: two wizards, a dragon, and a dog).

Why don´t you try to make an all-hero army based on the companions from the hobbit?(laughs a bit). Convert young bilbo from frodo, take gandalf and use the plastick and metal dwarf models to make the heroes.

I've considered that, but:
1)I'm looking at stuff not part of the Middle-earth Legendarium
2)The Company of 13 Army will probably lose some of its uniqueness in a year when The Hobbit Part I comes out (which I assume GW will be releasing some models for).
