    Default 1000 point IG Army List

    Second Try not using AB list.

    HQ
    Command Squad: Heavy Flamer, Med, Standard, Vox
    Commander Power Fist

    Troops: Platoon 1
    1st Squad: Command, Sniper Rifle x1; Heavy Weapons Team (mortar)
    Platoon Commander: Plasma Pistol
    2nd Squad: Melta
    Sergeant: Bolt Pistol
    3rd Squad: Plasma Gun
    Sergeant: Bolt Pistol, Power Weapon
    4th Squad: HWx3, Lascannons

    Troops: Platoon 2
    1st Squad: Command, GL, Melta, Vox
    Platoon Commander:
    2nd Squad: GL, Vox
    Sergeant: LP, CC
    3rd Squad: Flamer, Vox
    Sergeant: LP, CC
    Chimera: Heavy Flamers
    Fast Attack: Valkyrie, Multiple Rocket Pods, Heavy Bolters

    I am probably going to dump the Voxs, Plasma Pistols , KG and switch out the Lascannons for Autos so I can add another Chimera to Platoon 2.

    I agree - drop the vox's practically worthless in this codex. I would also drop the HF, a metla, flamer combo would be more effective

    Me personally I don't like to take HW teams in my command squads, but for a couple points its not a bad deal - but it does effectively give you one less wound in instant death scenarios. I would also consider droping all Bolt pistols, power weapons from serg's -this could scrounge up enough points for a whole nother heavy weapons team, squad, or even heavy support option

    Hmmm, well your command squad have a short ranged weapon and are on foot and its heavy. So they need to foot slog it to get into range and cannot fire and shoot it. A chimera transport would be best for these

    One sniper rifle isn't good, especially as BS3 I would just keep the heavy weapon team. Plamsa weapon on a 5+ save model isn't a too good idea because of the gets hot rule. I would dump it.

    I wouldn't bother with the bolt pistol for the sgts, seems just wasting points really. Can put all those points together and buy something more constructive.

    Three units of armour isn't going to last long, the chimera will get picked off and the russ and valkyrie will be targetted first.

    Personal option: leave the squad in the chimera - veh tend to draw fire, and with only 1 chimera on the field it be a target - so I've leave the squad in it, and find some nice cover for your hq.
