BoLS Lounge Activity Increase - Anyone Else Notice?

Has anyone else noticed the increase in BoLS Lounge activity after the $400 shopping spree was announced? Before it was common to see a discussion thread on the BoLS home page for a couple of days, now it will disappear after a couple of hours. Coincidence? What does the lounge think? I'd love to discuss it and get my 10 comment goal reached so I have a chance to get some plastic crack.
