    Default Fuzzyguy's Model Madness

    Hello all!

I've been painting and modeling for quite some time now. I've been a long time lurker and very occasional poster before I made a cross country move. As an attempt to get back in the groove of painting regularly I've been going to various forums I frequent and posting painting logs to help give me the kick in the pants to get back in the swing of things. I'll try and keep this updated with fantasy related modeling projects I've got going on regularly. All questions, comments, critiques, and criticisms are welcome of course.

First off here is the entry I did this past week for the Wyrd Iron Painter Contest with the theme "Start your engines!"

All the models are pinned in and removable for gaming purposes as well. I'd like to revisit the engineer and give him some more love, but I think the gobber and squig really stole the show on this one. I had a blast painting them and really enjoy painting green skins. I can post some wip progress shots of the diorama if anyone would like as well.

    Cheers

Here are some WIP shots of the WHFB Empire Averland army I am painting up at the moment.

First off we have some rank and file models from my 50 man regiment of Von Kragsburg Guard.

Next up we have a Rocket Battery with freshly redone earthworks and scratch built wattle fences & gabions

A early concept of one of my cannons. Getting everything laid out properly. I need to do up more gabions.

    Cheers!

Diorama is awesome. Nice yellow on the empire.

But the show stealer is Tim the Enchanter. He's perfect- its brilliant.

I like your version f the dragon bow. Its inspired. does it get the bolt thrower profile?

Just need some knights who say ni.

    Thanks!

The Dragon Bow is a magic weapon in the Empire Book that is a magical strength 6 longbow. I'm going to have the general in a unit of great swords with the Razor Standard, so strength 6 armour piercing at BS 5!
I figured an impressive long rifle would more adequately represent the idea.

Tim came out alright. I'll get some more painted stuff up here as soon as I can.

    Hey gang!
My painting hand was rendered useless for the past week after a daft woman in a Subaru attempted to run a red whilst I was crossing the street.

However I am back in action!
Here is a WIP for my Round 2 Entry for the Iron Painter Competition.
