anyone know how the mantic models stack up as stand ins for fantasy? I have heard they are pretty static...

Because most mantic figures are single body (as in legs/torsos/heads together) there are far fewer poses. There are only 4 body positions in all of the corporation army, one is kneeling, and the other three are all variations of walking. There are only 5 bodies for Orcs, 2 of which have the heads attached. Fantasy doesn't show much better. The skeltons and revenants are mix and match upper/lower torsos, but they cannot be posed. They just snap in one position.

Overall, not much better if you are a modeler, but if you just want line troops at a cheap price, then they'll work for you.
