    Default Heavy weapons on vehicles

Which takes precidence, the rule that heavy weapons cannot be fired if the unit has moved, or the rule that a vehcule may fire a particular number of weapons.

e.g. a dreadnaught with a single heavy weapon - can it fire if it has moved?

The rule that a vehicle may fire a particular number of weapons applies. This is because the rules for heavy weapons on vehicles are separate from the rules for heavy weapons on infantry.

In this case, the dreadnought would be able to fire its heavy weapon.

A dreadnought can always fire its weapons as a vehicle that stayed stationary, so basically you can fire all your weapons always (unless you got ordnance weapon, like defilers batlle cannon, then you can fire all the other weapons or the battlecannon)

Heavy weapon: You can fire the number of heavy weapons based on your movement (kinda like your vehicles are relentless) So no, moving doesn't effect wether or not you can fire atleast single heavy weapon!

There are some special rules on different races for these but basically:
    - if the weapon is ordnance: Fire it, and no other weapon
    - if the weapon is ordnance barrage: fire it and no other weapon, also you cannot move
    - if the weapon is heavy / assault / rapid fire, with strenght more than 4 (so 5+): fire as many as your movement and vehicle type allows
    - if the weapon is str4 or less: you can always fire it, if you are allowed to fire atleast single heavy / assault / rapid fire weapon (not ordnance or ordnance barrage tho)

I think this is pretty much it, ofc there is a possibility that i have forgotten something, in which case, someone will surely point that out

However if it is a transport, embarked infantry are still subject to the move fire rules, so a guardsman couldn't fire a missile launcher from a moving chimera etc.

Actually, the standard rules for ordnance barrage are that if the vehicle moves it may not fire indirectly. Essentially, if a vehicle fires an ordnance barrage weapon after moving, it acts like a regular ordnance weapon.

"D*** it, Sam! Stop counting to such high numbers!"

I didn't realise that, or that Ordinance barrages force the pinning test at -1 Ld

dreadnoughts can fire all weapons when they move, because they are walkers

At some cases you cant fire ordnance barrage weapon as ordnance-only. However, this is specially stated in the weapons description then.
