IMO termies and Vulkan are too expensive (point cost) to be used at 600 pts. Taking them leaves you with almost no shooting. Additionaly your whole army can be killed easily by IG or any other shooting oriented army. Hordes like 2 x 30 boyz will also be a problem to this...

i doubt it due to their armour. and the hammers are master crafted due to vulkan. guard struggle to wound on 5s so thats hard for them

I dont know if at 600 vulkan is worth the investment just to repeat 5 close combat rolls.

If you plan to have your terminators walking towards opponent it will take them at least 2-3 turns which is long enough to kill or at least weaken them. And if you deep strike them they will be great target for enemy flamers...

lets see what 600 points of orks looks like (based off modifying a list of mine I have to hand)

    1 warboss
11 slugga boys nob with pk
    16 slugga boys
10 Shoota boys +1 with big shoota
    9 lootas
    1 trukk
    1 kopta with rokkits

Having just had my lootas sit on an objective and reduce 5 termies to 2 for the unit of boys to assult (they were all dead before the power claw hit) i would back my weight of fire. lootas are 18 shots, 6 hits, 5 wounds, 1 model a round off and with a 48" range, that is a lot of turns of walking.

Armor means nothing if your opponent has next to nothing else to shoot at. And sure, with the given example of Guardsmen, they might be wounding on 5's but those Leman Russ Battle Cannons, Hellhound flamers or Hydra Autocannons that come with them need considerably less.

You can have all the Armor in the world but with an armies north of fire/attacks coming your way you will roll 1's and id bet you'd end up with 5 failed armor saves long before those master crafted hammers get to strike.

If Vulkan managed to catch a Landspeeder, your opponent was doing it wrong.

The real issue n my mind is how you're utilizing Vulkan, if you are taking him, meltas and flamers should be everywhere in your list as at the moment Vulkan's 190 points are just 'slightly' improving your 200 point terminators.
