Default Designing a Bioweapon

So, I'm slowly working on a Slaugth (maggot-men) army as well as my H'rud. (Prototype sculpt here.) Slaugth use lots of "Constructs" - biomechanical creatures which serve as spies, workers, warriors and so forth. Their "Warrior Construct" looks like:

I'm brainstorming up some other construct designs, but what do you think would look good? A single-purpose organism designed to excel in one piece of battle? One of the designs I'm playing with is sort've a fish with a gun for a head, a grav-wheel for a tail and two spindly legs emerging from where its side-fins should be :P

Thinking more about a "what would its body be like, what would its battlefield purpose be" kinda approach than modelling - once a creature has a strong description and purpose, the model tends to come to it naturally!

Chances are the Slaugth Constructs I wind up making will be scratch-sculpts and simple molds, which I have a reasonable amount of experience with, that allows me to maintain a consistency of design kitbashing different ranges doesn't allow.

I was thinking more in terms of "Perhaps a Catachan Devil with a mining drill for a mouth to burrow into the enemy backfield etc." kinda thing than the modeling angle, I was pretty unclear! Still, those digger-worms are an awesome design, could be quite the jumping-off point. Hmmmm.

Seem like the sort of thing you need.

Your not a closet pastaferian are you ?

Those warrior constructs look vaguely familiar.

Seriously though I am loving your sculpting on the Hrud, I read your post on those a few days ago. Nice work.

Hmmm, one of the units I have planned out is a Slaugth bonded with one of those floating-brain Medusae the Dark Eldar have. So, a large monster made of stringy, one could even say.... noodly maggots, with a couple of ball-like lumps of brain-meat attached to it. Hmmmmm.
