6th Ed Tau, Patterns in Motion

Instead of just making my own list, I thought that this was appropriate to put here.

What sort of allies have yall been using for Tau? I think that space marines would be a good ally, though I don't know too much about the different sorts. I saw a plasma squad on another list and I thought that it was a decent option, although expensive.

I run a small Blood Raven detachment as my allies in my 2k list.

Allies:
HQ:
-Librarian

Troops:
-(10)man Tactical Squad
-Plasma Gun
-Drop pod
-(10)man Tactical Squad
-Plasma Gun
-Drop pod

Heavy:
-Predator
-Autocannon and heavy bolters

Infiltrate a 20 man kroot squad near the first pod to help pressure a nearby objective. 2nd turn hopefully the other one drops nearby to wrap it up. Deep strike a fireknife squad close if need be w/ help from the markerbeacons on the tetras.

4x guardians on jetbikes with shurikan cannon

3x Warwalkers with 2x scatter lasers

ps. thinking about reducing the jetbikes by one guardian and adding a warlock with a singing spear and embolden.
