Default UK Golden Demon 2009 winners

GW has put up the Golden Demon winners from this year, they are looking awesome as usual.

Just thought I'd share these with the people who hadnt seen them and share my personal favourites.

Diorama - Gold
Nicolas Rouanet

DKOK are cool, end of. but check out this next one from the Youngbloods:

Young Bloods - Gold
Ari Nielsson

it is purely stunning, I love the skeletal work on the armour

This next one catches my eye purely for the lighting effects that have been used, it really gives the impression of a dark ruin

Diorama - Bronze
Jeff Wilhelm

What do you think? were you there for GamesDay, did you enter Golden Demon?

Jeff Wilhelm always does awesome stuff. He's also a really nice guy, and he has his own custom scenic base company. I reviewed it on BoLS a while back, it's called Dragonforge. Check it out, the quality is excellent.

Those are amazing. It's hard to believe that the 2nd one is a Young Bloods entry.

Amazing Diorama. Lighting effects very well executed. However how many soldiers, when it is dark enough to throw light back like that, blind themselves and lose night vision by holding up a light source?

Not a fan of directed light trickery as a whole.
I'M RATHER DEFINATELY SURE FEMALE SPACE MARINES DEFINERTLEY DON'T EXIST.

lol, yes it would be terrible practise to look into a screen like that in the dark, maybe he needs to adjust the brightness, or at least keep one eye closed/covered

I'm really not sure about the big female Inquisitor, looks like a collectors doll not a model
Very good for a doll but still not what I'm bothered about seeing in Golden Daemon.
