Idea for a woo delves display

Ive been thinking about cool ways of doing an armies on parade board with my wood elves. My main idea is to build a massive tree man that spans about half the board made of spare parts and plastic card. In the branches of this tree man will be a tree house for my army to stand on. I plan on making multiple levels connected by vines made of green stuff and ladders. The idea seems like a brilliant idea I just don't what to do to actually construct the giant tree man. Any ideas or advice would be much appreciated.

I'm not an expert modeller by any stretch so this is just a suggestion, but you will need a strong central frame for support, so perhaps plastic or metal rods for the basic skeleton frame. Then around that you can construct the branches/trunk. I'd look at maybe chicken wire for the frame, it has enough flexibility to be able to shape, but will also hold it's shape fairly well, providing you don't put anything too heavy on it. It can also be cut to size pretty easily. Around that I'd put corrugated cardboard which should give you some decent groves for the basic bark look, you can then modify it with putty. Alternatively, papier mache should also do the job.

i would suggest to go to a home improvement store and get some tubes like used for washing abssin plumbing and stuff. the plastic ones. those come in different sizes and there are some really weird items so it could have a few branches like a tree. it will definately be strong enough to hold the units on the branches. how to do the plattforms i dont know probably some strong wood plexiglass or something that does not bend under weight.
