    Default Iron warriors Decimator WIP

I started this bad boy awhile ago but FW delivered him minus the legs, this has made him difficult to complete as I am sure you can understand. Anyway they have arrived now and he is on the table next to the current ork project.

I am really enjoying learning and trying different techniques for weathering models and both chaos and orks lend themselves nicely to it. A subtle osl around the eyes and a few paint chips around the edges of the metal parts.

I suppose with winter coming and now having more time on my hands I should just compile all my stuff into one post instead of several entries, either way I hope you like him so far

    Looks awesome.

Be warned, i've been told the legs are an absolute pain to build

Looks good and mucky but I'm getting more of a death guard (corroded bare metal) than Iron Warriors feel.

That's very cool and intended. My plan for my eventual iron warriors army will use various marks. This guy will indeed have mark of nurgle, mark of khorne units will be bloodier, tzeench a blue ethereal sheen and slanesh with subtle mutations.

I love the decimator, I plan to get one to use as a daemon prince for my iron warriors. I can understand the marks business, but it is hard to see that it is iron warriors at all, maybe a slightly yellower tint to the stripes

Teehee, a legless Decimator. Booze for the booze god!
Ask not the EldarGal a question, for she will give you three answers, all of which are puns and terrifying to know. Back off man, I'm a feminist. Ia! Ia! Gloppal Snode!

Maybe do the traditional cross hatch yellow scheme on the shin pads.

But i do like the idea. I'm doing a Word Bearers force, and planning on representing three of the gods (personaly preference - No Slanny in my army)

I could be wrong but it looks like it might be an artifact of the photo-lighting. I'd be interested to see it on a very white background and well lit, but if it is consistent with what we're seeing here, then I'd agree that it could be a more pronounced yellow. Either way, it looks great so far, and I can't wait to see the axial structure!

I think this looks great, and love the concept of making everything clearly Iron Warriors *and* clearly cult-marked. Look forward to seeing more of the army!
