    The Plan is for Dems to Anti Tank/Pie plate. The Vens anti veh/anti air. The Punisher is against mobs and would double as anti air in a pinch. A Plasma squad to drown stuff, flamer squads for maximum hits when people close me down.

    Any thoughts, has to stay 1500. PS won't blob up its about the Panzers for me.

    My mate Christian would likely SQUEEEEEEE all over this list.
    I've been on the receiving end of Chris' Guard, which is similar to this, it was NOT pleasant.

    I like it, looks pretty solid.

    Seems reasonable at the very least. A good number of vehicles, which can be a little fragile, but AV 14 still makes things interesting, and the rear armour of 11 on those Russ varients makes them fairly survivable in combat. My fear would be the lack of scoring units except for big guns and scouring. Than again, if you can keep those vets safe, either my keeping them moving in their tanks or even dropping some of them in the vendettas if you think you'll end up with the last turn, then you've at the very very least got a decent chance of forcing a draw on primary objectives. Just got to make sure you get Warlod and First Blood as well.

    Too many pts on upgrades for my taste.

    LR with lascannons are often shooting something where the lascannon is obsolete (infantry).

    Vets want to move, not shoot so lascannos will be snap shots. Too expensive for very few hits.
    And definitely dont pair the lascannons with flamers, they dont work together.

    I would strip all those upgrades and get more scoring wounds on the table.

    Try this: add the pts spent on upgrades. How many pts is that actually?

    Then look for what they could buy you instead.

    Dont make them more expensive. Buy another one

    Filth I maybe didn't make myself clear. The flamers are only for last ditch when the enemy are on my position. The stationary chimera fires Multi laser, HB, Stubber, Lascannon and 4 Lasguns per turn. The Lascannons on Dems are for anti armour. They can only fire at 1 thing a turn. A Dem cannon plus a lascannon will di reasonable things to any infantry, it isn't one wound for a hit, its 1 and a pie plate! Roger what you say about redundancy, but if the flamers are being fired my plan has failed!

    The Punisher is really terrible. Even against gants (the weakest infantry you'll face) you'll kill an average of 7 bodies, and they usually play in groups of at least 30, so you'll hardly make a dent. If you want an anti-infantry LR, get a Demolisher with Plasma Cannon Sponsons. 15 more points than what you've got and it'll really bring the pain. Sure, it can't hit flyers, but you're not going anywhere with S5 anyhow. At least it's great at killing infantry (even termies) and light tanks. A cheaper alternative is the Eradicator, since it can deal with units with a high cover save if you think you'll encounter them.
    Cut the HBs on the Vendettas, you want to be shooting at high armor or high toughness targets, so the bolters are wasted. Even if you do shoot infantry with them, they won't do much damage.
    Since flamers are a last ditch, you shouldn't have so many.

    Just sharing my thoughts mate

    I agree with Lemt, exept that I had great success with demolishers. And battle cannons.

    The lascannon is 20pts for 1 shot, thats what I meant.

    The demolisher is fine for anti armor, since scatter means less now, just a sliver over the hull is enough for full strength.

    You also have six TL ascannons for that.

    Armor just doesnt last the way it used to.

    Especially high AV took a hit, as glances will now kill you.

    That also means that extra armor is worth much less, as that mainly prótected against the effect of glances.

    Saturation is more important than ever before.

    Hence my philosophy: keep them cheap and get more.

    Yeah I do see what you are saying - maybe I am hung up on 5th meta! Still tinkering, the executioner, I mean hell, blast markers, gets hot?

    I'd nix the eradicator , trying to stay to AV11 rear - although the no cover save is tempting.

    May stick an amendment up later, really appreciate the food for thought.

    The Executioner does not get hot...but the Plasma sponsons can. (ha ninjaed by TDA!)

    I would also ditch the LCs on the demolishers and Heavy bolters on the Vendettas...but I am not convinced with the ML options on the Veterans as suggested by Lemt.

    I would rather have 2 strength 7 shots than 1 strength 8 so would recommend the 5 point cheaper Autocannon.
