The carpet is kinda throwing me off. It basically doesn't look like terrain--it looks like they're just playing on the floor.
There's nothing wrong with playing on the floor--I spent the first several years of my wargaming career playing on the floor, usually with stacks of books and kitchen utensils for terrain (when nothing looks right anyway, all that matters is that you have meaningful shapes, really)--but I guess unless it's supposed to be obvious that they're playing on the floor (look at us all slummin' it on the floor!) I think it ends up being more than a little tacky.
Awesome model, though. New Eldar are gonna be awesome, I think.

Whatever you say. It was pretty obviously carpet to me. So much so that I didn't realize it was meant to be taken as anything else until someone mentioned that it looked like a street. I get it, but I still don't see "street" when I look at the picture. The carpet loops are plainly visible, thanks to the macro lens...
