Default Tyranids: Help me please make this an army!

    Good evening everyone.
So I was recently given a fair number of nids, but I really need help figuring out what to do with them. I would like to have a solid 2000 pt list when all is done.
I am willing to add models to the army to fix glaring holes that I may have. Please...all suggestions are welcome.

Here is what I was given:

    2 Biovore (the Old Models)

    1 Broodlord

    3 Carnifex
1 Modern Plastic, 1 Old style with crushing claws and a gun, and 1 REALLY old style with 4 talons

8 Gargoyles (the old style metal ones)

    8 Genestealers

    2 Hive Guard

    2 Hive Tyrants
1 Hive Tyrant Lash whip and Sword
1 Hive Tyrant -Forge world- wings and talons

    30 Hormagaunt

1 Lictor (Older style metal model)

    1 Mawloc

    30 Termagant (assorted weapons)

    1 Tervigon (chapter house conversion)

1 The Doom of Malan'tai (Really Old Zoanthrope , the one with a big flat head and legs)

    1 Trygon

    2 Tyranid Prime
1 is really an older style Hive Tyrant
1 is a converted warrior with "swords"

    10 Tyranid Warriors
5 Tyranid Warrior Brood (new style with guns and a big gun)
5 Tyranid Warrior Brood - Lash Whip & Bonesword (Older style metal models)

    1 Tyrannofex

    1 Zoanthrope

You could do a massive number of variations with all of that, perhaps give us an idea of what kind of army you'd like to play or which models you're most keen on using?

I Have always liked the idea of a Nidzilla list, but I am not sure that is practical any longer...I do like the big nasties though.
Really I am looking for a list that will play equally well against Marines, or Dark Eldar/Eldar, as they are my most common foes.

I am comming from an Ork Background, so I am not really wanting to do another horde, unless that is really the only option with Nids.

I am really new to Nids, and newish to 40k...so I am not really sure what kinda of list to build with what I have.

    Thanks

I know it's got a lotta big stuff, but man...I'm not used to seeing that few bodies in a 'Nid list!

Gaunts, for their price, are pretty damn useful. IMO try and make room for those if only as fodder. And avoid grey knights, that list is like a GK players heaven.

If I had your list of nids, this is what I would do:

    HQ:
Hive Tyrant - lash/bonesword, hive commander, adrenal glands, toxin sacs
Hive Tyrant - Scything talons, wings, Adrenal Glands

    Troops:
    8 x Genestealers
27 x Hormagaunts (Used with Hive Commander outflank when Flying Tyrant Deepstrikes back field.)
    15 x Termagant
    15 x Termagant
    4 x Warrior - Devourer, Talons
    4 x Warrior - Devourer, Talons

    Heavy:
3 x Carnifex Brood - I prefer them to have scything talons all around, not a fan of guns, Adrenal Glands.
    Trygon
Mawloc (I'd tunnel him and have him pop up under somebody.)

    1,999 points

This gives you 7 big bugs to play with and a good amount of little guys to scuttle about.
I'm a huge fan of swarm list, but I tried to tailor it to your interest in Nidzilla.

    I hope this helped :-)

The only working nid list I've seen is gaunt screen. Which is the only nidzilla I've seen as well. Consists of about 50 gaunts. Carnifexs, trygons, and whatever monster generates more gaunts. Lol
