Default Unsaved wounds allocated for blast attack

    Hi all,

If a final place of a blast is located at the rear of the squad, will the unsaved wounds be taken to those under blast or to the front guys who are not under the blast as same as normal shooting attack?

    Thanks

Blasts are always taken from guys under the template, and always start with those closest to the centre of the hole.

I can't ATM cos i'm at work and away from my book.

I'm going to assume its on the section under blasts though. Think theres a picture of a group of Orks with blasts on them on the left page. If you can't find it, i'll try to remember to look it up when i get home

Pretty sure you're wrong on that one.

Casualties from blast weapons are taken from the model closest to the firing unit as normal.
Barrage blast weapons treat the direction of the firing unit as the centre of the hole.

So: barrage: model closest to the hole dies first.

Non barrage blast (barring other weird rules) model closest to firer dies first.

    Xenith has it right.

Blast weapons remve casualties like any other direct fire weapon. Closest model to the firing model dies first, etc. Look in your rulebook under blasts. Barrage applies wounds to models under the tempate and removes them as casualties, UNLIKE a blast weapon.
The objective of the game is to win. The purpose of the game is to have fun. The two should never be confused.

    Xenith is right.
    Just for reference's sake:
Blast Weapons p33: The last paragraph above 'Multiple Blasts' states that wounds are allocates as for a normal shooting attack.

Barrage Weapons p34: Second bullet point, states that when determining cover and Wound allocation always assume the shot is coming from the center of the blast marker.
