Default Mega Paint set - Oct 31st

Just in time for Christmas, the mega paint set is showing up as an advanced order on the GW site...

Doesn't look like they have changed anything (other than the new brushes).

There is the addition of the Foundation Paints and the swap of washes instead of inks... but you're right, same old, same old. Personally I wonder how many of these they actually sell... simply because of the sheer cost! But I'd definitely buy one if I had the means :P

I have one of the older Mega Paint sets, from a couple of years ago. I love it. As I'm more of a painter than a gamer I love picking up a new model, thinking such-and-such a colour would look good on this with highlights of some other esoteric colour. Having all the paints can open up a few more options for painters.

I got the set last year, and I have to say... My painting became so much better with the wider assortment of colours. Also, I feel it lets you look at colour schemes you would not normally use, on account of not owning the pots...

I have almost everything in there. I just prefer to buy paint as I use it...to prevent waste.

No matter how ambitious the project I dont think I would ever use all the different colours, so I dont see why I would need to own them.

It's a great set if you're starting out and don't already own a lot of the colors in the set. If I was just starting to paint and didn't already have a wide assortment of the colors in it, I'd probably jump right on it. Having a large variety of colors is extremely useful, especially if you paint models from disparate ranges using a widely varied color schemes.

    This looks good.

I've never taken the plunge with a full range of GW paints.. always used VJ. Maybe now I'll give this a try.

I bought the older mega paint set, the one that came in the metal case. I kind of wish I hadn't because every now and then I find a pot that has dried out from not being used.
