Started painting, pictures to follow in a few days.

I do have both Thing movies on DVD now you mention it.

Inspiration could probably also be traced to Peter Jackson's King Kong (the gorge near the end of the island section) and the original Anaconda movie (most ridiculous special effect in that movie).

That's just fantastic, an inspired idea and well executed. Can't wait to see it painted!

Fleshy bits almost done. The back looks better I think in flesh tones, I wasn't so keen on the official model's red.

    And with full lights on

I liked it before, but with the colour photos, it's looking amazing, what's the recipe for your flesh ?

I think I am quoting myself here but damn you are good!!!!
Tales from Original WFRP. My Troll-Slayer would be a terror with his axe, then my friend's Tax-Collector would hit the foul beasty with his cane and usually get the killing blow.

Looking good, what colour are you thinking of for the armour?

You'll have to translate into new colours

Base = Tallarn flesh + liche purple approx 50:50
    First highlight: Tallarn flesh
Bridge coat: As base but more flesh colour 75:25
Second highlight: Flesh + dheneb stone 50:50
Third highlight: Flesh + bleached bone 25:75
Wash: flesh + purple watered down

For armour I think probably a Tzeentch blue & gold shaded down a lot. That way I can use it as a prince with bolt in my daemon army.

Other option is nurgle death guard green & brown which would blend better with the flesh but I like the idea of the armour barely holding the flesh change in check.
