First leaked CSM picture & New WD

If I said yesterday that the beasts are weird and ugly, the Dark Apostle, Raptors and Mechanicum Priest looks wonderfull!

I am very much surprised that there are still those old low quality plastic marines... I realy hoped into new one, especialy due to difference between the looks of the new and old models.

Yeah they are ok as stand alone models, they just don't fit in with the new aesthetic GW are taking with the new models. Terminators are the same. This new stuff has a baroque feel to it. The older stuff not so much.

I disagree, the baroque stuff are things like chosen, characters and daemon engines, they are the same style as the marines and terminators, just more ornate and more detailed, which is reasonable for the more unusual elite troops, it is a good way to distinguish them from being more armoured dudes. the aspiring champion in the photo does not stand out from the marines as being a different style, just as being more detailed as a champion

1. We're not sure, it looks like a scenic base to me

I have two problems:
1. quality
2. prize vs quality

1. the models and sprues are old, details are poor, options are minimal. Everythimg is HUGE, no small detailing
2. for such an old timer, the prize is to high.

They've got the whole "COMBAT SQUAAAT" pose going on, the horns are simple/silly looking (as compared to those seen in DV), and they never go beyond "Loyalists w/ edging and spikes". Many of the extras are awkward, poorly designed - it's nigh-impossible to attach the weird pouch/grenade sacks in a way that looks good - which is probably why they were left off of the studio models used to advertise the kit :P
