Default Land Speeder Flying Bases - To Flock or Not To Flock?

In front of me, on my desk, I have a pair of landspeeders on flying bases (with Speepy's titanium stems). I'm trying to decide if I should flock them or not. On the one hand, flying bases really are only semi-translucent, and they might look better with flock. They'd also match the rest of my army. On the other hand, then I couldn't use them with any of my other armies (they were originally for my devilfish). Though, it's not as though flying bases and titanium stems are that expensive.

So, what do you think? Flock or no?

    Not to flock

However the process of robo-insemination is far too complex for the human mind!

You're already using opaque stems; might as well go the whole hog and flock the bases too.

It sounds like the general consensus is not to flock, but some of the arguments here - like the fact that the stems are already opaque - give me pause. I think what I'm going to do is wait and see how the rest of the army looks when it's done. Then I can go back and flock the skimmer bases if I feel like it, or not.

I'd say "Don't Flock", but if you do, prime the bases. White glue won't stick to unprimed plastic for long.

I always flock(or in my case, sand, paint, static grass). I use the same basic basing colors on all my armies, which match my scenery at home. I had Home Depot color match the paint I used on the table to the GW paints I was using for the models.

I've actually found that having the plastic flying base on the table looks more out of place than having a based one.
