WYSIWYG; how would you represent IG vet snare mines?

If you were doing WYSIWYG forward sentry vets with snare mines, how would you represent the snare mines?

I am thinking space marine pouches... on a guardsman they look about big enough to hold some sort of claymore mine

That sounds like a good option.
Or you could modify the "i am holding a grenade" hand and deepen the grooves so he looks like he's holding mines (like one holds a tube of Mento's)

The Space Marine Scouts have some really good bits for that, a pouch with a grenade and a coil of trip line. You could get the same effect with a marine pouch, grenade and a small coil of very thin wire.
