Default The 2013 "What I Got for Christmas" Thread

If you're like me, the 12 days of Christmas probably started over this past weekend. With multiple folks to celebrate with, we usually have to take a few weekends to do so, so the the gifts are already flowing in. I'll kick off the thread here to open it up for everyone else to list their fun! Typically we list our wargaming type hauls, but feel free to toss anything cool or notable in there that you've received as well.

Also note: Your wargaming haul, not matter how fantastic, will pale when compared to Eldargal's. Her family celebrates the holidays like they were the last people on earth. While this isn't an ePeen measuring contests, we can all rest assured that her's will most certainly be bigger than ours .

    I'll Kick it off:

my best friend got me a couple of anime books and a plush octopuss, some special dirt for Helga (whenever I clean Little miss 8-leg's tank out), and a camcorder from my dad (which I shall be using to film my sci-fi show...if it ever gets made!)

I'm getting the most precious resource of any hobbiest I think - time, time to sculpt, and model and paint. So much hobby time infact that I might just wet myself with excitement!

    Obviously not litterally though. :P

So far this hasn't be a huge haul holiday for me. All I've gotten so far is an attack bike from my wife. However, I may be getting more items off my wishlist from other relations in the month to come.

I'm a traditionalist who doesn't open any presents until Christmas morning. I don't even know what I'm getting from anybody. Except myself. I bought myself a Shaltari starter army.

It's not that I'm opening things "early" per say...we just celebrate Christmas on some pre-christmas days with portions of my family. With the Storm Eagle above, we go to my friends house, bring the kids gifts, have dinner, etc.

    Jedi Robe thingy (comfywarm!)
Foldy seat thing (useful on morning train)
Baking stuff (cake tins, rolling pin, bowls and that)
    £20.00

    And that's about it.

I don't really open presents early, but as I received an unwrapped box of celebrations that's the extent of my list so far...

However the process of robo-insemination is far too complex for the human mind!
