Hi all! I've been posting on/reading BOLS since it opened, but never found the lounge before!
Anyway, here's a little project I've been working on in the small hours. Got the idea after visiting Nottingham and seeing the lion statues in the city, then visiting warhammer world.
I've still got to fill in the gap in the lions mane, and decide on the lions colour (probably dheneb stone).
Please let me know what you think and if you have any ideas! thanks!!

Nice. I especialy like the lion head shoulder pad. Ties it together nicely. what is the lion mount miniature from? High elf chariot?

Yep its a highelf lion, and the lion head on the shoulder comes on the sprue too infact, its the elves head too! plus a beard, seems to fit quite well.

cool, hawe you done anything withe the lion head to make it look wolfy? and have you came up with any special lore to this army?

No I don't want the lion head to look wolfy
I'm still churning through ideas for the fluff, but I like the idea that they ride lions as a direct snub to the DA after taking the beast as trophies battling in a campaign led by a rebel DA (read fallen, but SW don't know he was fallen).

I think ya did a great job, but I'm a little partial!
and yeah, I play both SW and DA so it feels like a wee little twist for the Lions...I am using my old Cypher model to represent Lukas as well!

You say the shoulder pad is from the high elf chariot? HMmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
My space marine army is the "Lions of the emperor" so you see why the HMmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
I think I'll have to look at yon sprue.
Great work, really like the idea.

like the fluff part of it, just noticed the lion head on the shoulder too=) great job, are considering doing an entire thunderwolf build or just a squad/hq?
