    Thanks for the feedback!

    Regarding the Tervigon, the way it works with Smash is that you halve it's base attacks, rounding up and then add modifiers. Now, a Tervigon has 3 attacks base, so when it Smashes, it gets 2 attacks - half of 3 is 1.5, and then you round up, and get 2. Crushing Claws add a minimum of 1, meaning you get between 3 and 5 S10 attacks as opposed to 4-6 S5 attacks! So for 25 points, you essentially lose out on one attack, and even if the ceiling is lower than with the S5 attacks, they are oh so much more deadly. With my Tervigons, the only times I don't Smash are when I am wounding on 2s anyway against single wound models - i.e. if I have Adrenal Glands and charge Space Marines, or I'm fighting Eldar and so on. Charge bonuses also raise the ceiling a bit.

    Just something handy I've noticed about monstrous creatures with uneven Attacks values

    Something to think about is combos. Especially uncommon combos.

    270 Defiler Tyrant
    –Tyrant, Toxin Sacs, Lashwhip and Bonesword, Devourers, Shredder Shard Beetles, Old Adversary, Hive Commander (optional), initial powers: Leech Essence and Psychic Scream
    195 Tyrant Guard
    –3 w/Lashwhips

    69 Sky Slasher Swarm
    –3 Bases, Adrenal and Toxin Sacs

    The Skyslashers are cheap cover for your big bugs. Plus, they pack a nasty punch on the charge with re-roll 1s (Old Adversary), go first (lash whips everywhere), and re-roll wounds (Toxin Sacs). Finally, you don't care if they get wasted by guns 69 points.

    The Tyrant n' Co. is nasty. Lots of firepower, and impressive at close combat.

    I absolutely love your tacticas! You get into detail of every unit and weigh their pros an cons fairly! They are such refreshing reads since this place tends to get swarmed with "one track mind power gaming articles".

    Had a thought; take Deathleaper, reduce a Dark Apostle's Leadership by D3. Drop the Doom of Malan'tai down near the Dark Apostle.
