Chaos Lord in Terminator Armour - which weapons?

Evening all, im doing a Word Bearers army and im trying to figure out what to give him.

Currently thinking of giving him the Khorne axe and standard twin-linked bolter, 4+ invul, and maybe one or two other things.

Any better ideas?

It has to be the mace or the axe. I prefer the axe on a lord but the mace is so much fun when it works. I put it on a daemon prince and the look on my opponents face, i will treasure that look for as long as i live.

It's a shame that The Lord box doesn't come with a mace - if it want one I have to buy a terminator box.

No you dont. There is a back pack piece in the standard csm box. It has a skull at the centre of the 8 point star. I wish i could show you mine but just take the head of the axe very carefully and drill the shaft. Trim this back pack piece. Drill that and bang your done. It looks just as i thought the mace should.
Edit: i have done it to a power armoured dude aswell but that used a space wolf bit instead of the termy axe.

As in take off the end of the staff and put it on the end of the axe? (Obviously remove axe head)

the head piece is out of the standard troop box. it is meant to go on a back pack i think.

i used the axe head i cut off for the khorne axe on my PA lord ( i have 3 different ones ). for that i ended up using the thunder hammer from the death company box.

I agree with the others. The Khorne Lord with the Axe is usually the best, most consistent option. If you plan on running Chaos Spawn, consider the Khorne Juggernaught Lord - it is a nightmare for a lot of armies to deal with. The Sigil of Corruption is a must - or at least the Aura. Another decent variation is a Slaanesh Lord on a Seeker outflanking with the Burning Brand.
